contemporary fine artist, owner of Art Haven Studio/Gallery
Canadian Contemporary Multi-Disciplined Visual Artist Wendy Reid, grew up in Wellington County, Ontario with her parents, two brothers and sister. Her parents enjoyed raising their family, camping at Sauble Beach and buying and renovating homes. Wendy’s father was a Police Officer and her mom was a homemaker. Wendy was encouraged to express herself in the arts, painting and sculpting from a very early age. Enjoying nature was also one of the family’s favourite activities.
Wendy Reid became a Nurse (R.P.N), and married her high school sweetheart, Tom Reid, in 1983. Together they have raised four amazing children, all of whom are now formally educated, working and well established. It is interesting to note that they all live within minutes of one another! Tom is the Paramedic Chief of The County of Dufferin Paramedic Service. Son’s Jon, and Tyson are both Advanced Care Paramedics, and son Thomas, is a Heating and Cooling Technician and Lead Hand with Bryans Fuels. Eldest son Jon, is married to Stacey (R.N.), and together they have two children, Aurora and Archie. Daughter Jessica (R.P.N.) wed Cody Jamieson (Electrician) in 2019, and now they have a daughter Layla, and they own and operate their business, “Jamieson & Son Roofing”.
